#FFTT: AUTOBIOGRAPHY IN 5 SHORT CHAPTERS

Thursday, November 14, 2013

Friends, I would like to introduce to you #FFTT (Food For Thought Thursday)!

Those of you who are friends with me on Facebook know that I like to post inspirational quotes every now and again so I thought this would be a fun way to share them with you to get the wheels turning and maybe some inward reflection going on how you can relate these to your own life. After all, living a healthy lifestyle includes body and mind!

To kick this off, I bring to you a poem that I came across on a yoga blog last week called Autobiography in Five Short Chapters by Portia Nelson...

While this poem was used to relate to one's yoga practice, I thought it was very profound and could speak to much more in regards to life's struggles whether it's relationship issues to fighting depression, eating disorders, and alcohol and/or drug addiction because it's easy to slip back into old habits and ultimately we all want to learn how to "walk down another street."

Just some food for thought...

P.S. If you're interested in reading the original blog where I saw this poem and how you can relate it your yoga practice, you can find it on the MyYogaWorks Blog.
